{"id":150,"date":"2012-11-27T11:08:49","date_gmt":"2012-11-27T11:08:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.deeproot.co.uk\/blog\/?p=150"},"modified":"2017-11-29T20:20:29","modified_gmt":"2017-11-29T20:20:29","slug":"plant-database-update-release23","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.deeproot.uk\/blog\/2012\/plant-database-update-release23\/","title":{"rendered":"Plant database update &#8211; release 23"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>An update to the plant database content has just been made available on the website \u2013 Data Release 23.<\/p>\n<p>This is similar to the update released about a year ago &#8211;\u00a0 no change to the version of the live-product program, which remains at\u00a0 1.6.1.\u00a0 The data for the mobile edition has been updated to match, as has the free web database, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.deeproot.co.uk\/pbo\/\">Plant Base Online<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>This same data content will be used for the next Plant Base 2 Beta test release and has also been tested with the Android edition that I&#8217;m working on right now (more about this soon!).\u00a0 So all editions will then be in-sync!<\/p>\n<p>The update has a modest number of new plants and pictures, as well as much larger number of updates to existing records &#8211; about 2,000 amendments in total.<\/p>\n<p>Perhaps the most significant thing about this update is that almost all the data entry and preparation was done on the new database format, using the Plant Base 2 program in its various versions over the last year.\u00a0 The records were\u00a0 converted back to the original database format in order to create this release.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>An update to the plant database content has just been made available on the website \u2013 Data Release 23.
