Another new Beta Test version of Plant Base 2 is up on the website.<\/p>\n
This is mostly a bug-fix release, but the install file also includes the recently issued database release 23.\u00a0 Together with the features added in the last couple of test versions, this brings the Plant Base 2 package up to a level that is very equivalent to the current production version (or better in some parts!).<\/p>\n
There are a couple of \u00a0 ‘add-on’\u00a0 bits missing – most notably the screen-saver module. I’ll be looking at that soon, but there are more important things such a method of migrating user-entered data to the new database format. This is a tricky piece of code, because it needs to deal with two completely different database engines.\u00a0 I’m currently testing and tweaking the program!<\/p>\n
